ACCOMMODATION - GRAFTON HALL OF RESIDENCE

This is a budget student accommodation centre situated on the central city fringe of Auckland. Single or twin rooms can be booked. There is a unisex bathroom on each floor as well as small kitchens with tea and coffee making facilities. A washing machine and dryer are available on each floor. It is set in pleasant surroundings and has a tennis court, a large grass area for impromptu rugby games as well as TV rooms and games rooms with pool and table tennis tables. The top floor lounge and some rooms have extensive harbour and city views. The hall kitchen can cater for cooked breakfasts and dinners and food is set out at breakfast if residents wish to make their own lunches. Dinner is usually served from 5.30 to 6.30 but arrangements can be made if the teams are going to be late. A link bus stop is a short walk from the hostel. This departs approximately every 10 minutes during the week and every 20 minutes at weekends. It takes about 30 minutes to travel to Victoria Park Market, which is a 10 minute walk from the sailing venue. Cost is $1.20 per ride. If a mini van is hired, parking is free at the hostel.
