NZTRA 2001 NEW ZEALAND WORLD TEAM
Cathay Pacific supports New Zealand Team for 2001 Team Racing Worlds Airline Cathay Pacific has been named as the principal sponsor of the New Zealand Team to the 2001 ISAF World Team Racing Championships. Team manager, Jim Murdoch said today that the team was delighted to have the support of Cathay Pacific and the team will be entered in the Championship as Cathay Pacific New Zealand Team .The Championships will be held in Brno in the Czech Republic during August this year. New Zealand are the reigning World Champions after winning the last World Championships in Ireland in 1999. The Cathay Pacific New Zealand Team will train in Kerikeri and Auckland during the next three months. They will train mainly in 420’s which are the two handed sailing dinghy to be used at the Championships. Once again the team will train in the UK against the British Team prior to traveling to the Czech Republic. The 2001 Team has been named as Andrew Murdoch (Captain), Hamish Murdoch, Andrew Ardern, Karen Lambert, Jeffrey Clark, Josh Galbraith, Derry Godbert (Coach) and Jim Murdoch (Manager). |
